The International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR) was created over 40 years ago by General Counsel at Fortune 100 companies to promote efficiency and cost-effectiveness in commercial dispute prevention and resolution. Participants will learn about CPR’s thought leadership initiatives, its non-administered and administered arbitration rules, as well as its international mediation procedure.

Participants will also have an opportunity to discuss with a panel of distinguished speakers:

Olivier P. André, Senior Vice President, International at CPR

Olivier started his legal career at Shearman & Sterling L.L.P. and at the ICC Court of International Arbitration in Paris. He is a CPR and CEDR trained mediator and studied law in France, Germany and in the U.S.  Olivier recently contributed to the drafting of the CPR European Mediation and ADR Practical Guide for Corporates, the CPR Administered and Non-Administered Arbitration Rules, and the CPR International Mediation Procedure.

Olivier is based in New York and frequently speaks at conferences and is the author of a number of articles and publications within the area of ADR. He holds a number of positions in various boards and committees.

Ralf Lindbäck, Managing Counsel, Asset, Dispute and Trade Management, Marine at Wärtsilä Corporation.

Ralf is based in Finland and has successfully followed a career specializing in legal matters relating to complex international transactions in the energy sector, and in particular the maritime and offshore industry. Working with foreign administrations and global clients has further broadened Ralf’s understanding of different legal systems, while also enhancing his reputation and track record in international dispute resolution.

His curriculum includes postgraduate studies in maritime law as well as oil and gas law (University of Oslo), management (IMD) and international dispute resolution (University of Geneva). Ralf was a member of Wärtsilä’s award winning team in Financial Times Innovative Lawyers, Europe 2018.

Allen Waxman, President & CEO of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR).

Prior to joining CPR, Mr. Waxman served as General Counsel of Pfizer, at Eisai Inc – the North American affiliate of the Japanese-based pharmaceutical company, Eisai Co Ltd – where also led the Market Access business unit. He later on joined Kaye Scholer LLP (now Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer) in New York as a partner.  He led the firm’s multidisciplinary Life Sciences Group, while also developing and executing on resolution strategies for clients.
